CATS of MOROCCO, and a couple of dogs

Cats are everywhere in Morocco. While not pets as we think of them, they are also not feral. People put food and water out for them, sometimes build them a shelter, or put down a thick newspaper to sleep on. Although there were no signs of veterinarian care or spay and neutering, these cats are treated with kindness. Unlike my feral cat, they are willing to be petted, kittens can be picked up and played with without scratches, Most live on the streets, but visitors may see them inside restaurants or homes. Dogs are less common, but the same general rules apply. The culture does not permit dogs inside as they are not considered clean. I want you to know I waited for hours for the first cat to cross its legs to match the wooden lines in the photo. Well, maybe it was just luck.

Don't know how a cat who lives in a tannery keeps so white.

This was right next to the coast.  Someone had built a cat shelter

This house along the coast was mostly demolished, but someone lived in part of it.  Dog had a mat as well as a beautiful tile floor.  Shelter for cat was close by.  Everyone got along.
